Christiana Bratiotis, postdoctoral fellow and adjunct professor of clinical practice, and Dean Gail Steketee were featured in BU Today for their co-written book, The Hoarding Handbook. The book was written specifically for people who find hoarders and includes practical tips on how to interact with them.
It’s based on my doctoral thesis, which was awarded in July 2017 from the University of St. Andrews. Thank you to the Dr. Handa Foundation for funding my research with the Dr. Handa PhD Scholarship in Terrorism and Political Violence.
Dr. Christiana Bratiotis She serves as Faculty Chair of the MSW program and currently leads a comprehensive curriculum renewal process. She pioneered work in the formation and operation of multi-disciplinary community hoarding task forces, which is highlighted in her book titled, “The Hoarding Handbook: A Guide for Human Service Professionals” published by Oxford University Press.
